Harwood Grows Its Canopy
You may have heard about or seen the sidewalks being cut and the trees being planted this past winter along Greenmount Avenue and Barclay Street. These trees have been carefully placed after planning and outreach across the neighborhood. Planning and permitting support came from our friends at GRIA and in coordination with Baltimore City’s Forestry team at TreeBaltimore. Harwood neighbors also participated in a volunteer planting event with neighbors from Charles Village, Abell, and Johns Hopkins along E 30th Street. You can find out more about efforts to improve and expand central Baltimore’s tree canopy here.
